About

We have been resolving human-wildlife conflicts in our community for over a decade. Every trap, every transport, and every release starts with a simple belief: all wild animals deserve to go back to their home in the wild.

About Furrescue

Trusted Wildlife Management in the Swarthmore Community

Swarthmore County Animal Control has built its reputation on compassion, integrity, and consistent results. Every animal that comes through our doors receives individualized attention with necessary medical assessment and a safe place to rest. We believe no creature should be turned away simply because it is lost or unwanted.

Our volunteers work tirelessly to rescue animals from trapped situations, providing sustenance while it is sick or injured. Once the vet clears the animal to have recovered completely, we release it back into its natural habitat. From the moment an animal arrives at the shelter to the day it leaves with its new family, we prioritize its dignity and emotional well being.

A raccoon was living in my attic for weeks. They trapped it humanely and released it 20 miles away in a forest. No harm done to the animal. Best service ever.
